Common Storage Questions and Answers


What happens if I am late on my payment?

You have a five-day grace period. If you happen to be late, our system automatically charges a $15.00 late fee on the 5th at midnight.

How can I make a payment?

We recommend you enroll in our auto-pay plan, where we bill your credit or debit card monthly, to avoid any late fees. You can also pay online, call and make a one-time payment, or mail a check or money order to 6651 Drunkard Road, Jetersville, VA 23083.

Move In

Do you have movers that can move my furniture for me?

No, we do not have movers. You are responsible for moving your belongings into your unit. However, if you need the assistance of movers, we recommend Reliable Moving, who can be reached at (434) 392-8504, or you can visit their website at for more information.

Do the units have lights?

There are lights inside the units at some locations. Most of them do not have lights.

How tall are the units?

All of our units are approximately 8 1/2 feet tall inside.

Why would I need a temperature- controlled unit?

Temperature-controlled units are most commonly used to protect your belongings from damage that may be caused by extreme temperature changes. These temperature fluctuations can result in condensation and ultimately moisture damage. In temperature-controlled units, we maintain the temperature no lower than 55 degrees and no higher than 83 degrees. It is recommended that if you are storing antiques and collectibles, electronics, furniture, pictures, photos, or important documents that you store them in a temperature-controlled unit.

How wide is the door opening?

Most of our medium and large units are 10 feet wide and the door opening is 8 feet wide. For our smaller units like 5x10, 5x15, 7.5x10, the door opening is 3 feet wide.

Are all your units ground level?

Yes, all of our units are ground level. We do have one location that has a loading dock, but is accessible at ground level also.

Storage Access

What kind of lock do I need on my storage unit?

You can use any type of lock you want on your unit. However, we recommend the round disc locks.

I forgot my gate code. What do I do?

We are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays. Please call during those hours for help with your gate code. If it is after hours, leave us a message and we will return your call the next business day.

Do I need to bring a lock?

Yes. Bring any sturdy lock. We recommend a disk lock (circular shaped lock) to best safeguard your belongings.

What if I need help after hours?

If you have an emergency after hours, please leave us a voicemail message. If you do not leave a message, you will not get an after-hours call back. After-hours call backs are for emergencies only, such as not being able to exit the facility because of exit gate issues.

Who should I call if I have a problem?

For general questions, please give us a call and choose option 1.

Do you have any specials?

We currently do not offer any specials. However, we do offer them from time to time. Please ask one of our friendly call center professionals if we are currently offering any specials.

Why do I need insurance?

Do you have pest control?

All of our locations are treated regularly for rodents, snakes, and insects.

Can I meet a manager on-site?

We run our facilities remotely, so we do not keep full-time staff on site. We can handle almost any issue over the phone and are always glad to help.
